Option #1 -Christian Counseling Services

Our Counseling services ARE FOR CHRISTIAN COUNSELING ONLY conducted under the supervision of legally recognized churches, as per Florida law for a sliding scale suggested donation.  

 

Option #2: Professional Mental Health Counseling done by or under the supervision of licensed mental health counselor. Please request this service if you are looking for therapy or professional counseling. This is NOT provided directly by Youth Haven, we link you with a professional therapist who either accepts insurance or will charge you a small sliding scale fee.

What's the difference?

Christian Counseling will treat all of these issues, but it is based on a Biblical worldview employing the word of God with the goal of drawing the person closer to Jesus Christ under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Like regular therapy, we will listen and talk with you, and may even do some interventions, but our main goal is to bring you into a closer relationship with God, and in doing so heal these other issues. We will use the bible in therapy freely while helping you to find healing for any problems and hurts you have.

Mental Health Counseling is done be trained clinical professionals licensed by the State of Florida, who work based on theories and techniques grounded in scientific evidence to treat mental health issues. This does not involve a Christian World View or the Bible.
